  3. THE CONTEST GAME.

    1. The Contest is based on the statistics of all games and results of each series played during the 2021 Stanley Cup® Playoffs (the "Playoffs"), starting on or about Saturday, May 15, 2021 and ending on or about Sunday, July 18, 2021 (the "Playoff Season"). The Playoff Season is divided into four (4) rounds (each, a "Round" and collectively, the "Rounds"): the first Round ("Round 1") contains all NHL games played in Round 1 of the Playoffs; the second Round ("Round 2") contains all NHL games played in Round 2 of the Playoffs; the third Round ("Round 3") contains all NHL games played in Round 3 of the Playoffs; and the fourth Round ("Round 4") contains all NHL games played in Round 4 of the Playoffs. The four Rounds (covering Rounds 1 through 4 of the playoffs) are referred to herein as the "Overall Prize Period".
    2. Each participant's objective is to accumulate the most points in each Round throughout the Playoff Season via his/her selection of bracket entry (whereby a participant selects the teams they expect to advance to the next round of the Playoffs, ultimately identifying their choice for who will win the Stanley Cup), as described below.
    3. Before each Round, participant will complete a bracket entry for the applicable Round by visiting the Make Picks Page and filling out the bracket further to instructions provided on the Contest Website. In order to fill out a valid bracket entry, the participant must predict a winner for each Series match-up that Round, predict the number of games played in each Series that Round, and answer three proposition questions ("Prop Questions") pertaining to that Round. Participant can return to complete their bracket entry for each of the four Rounds of the Playoffs.
    4. In respect of each Round, each participant will also be asked to predict the answer to two (2) or three (3) tie-breaking questions regarding the applicable Round, which questions will serve as tie-breakers in the event of a tie between participants as necessary, as more particularly discussed below in these Official Rules.

The complete list of Pick Deadlines is displayed below, subject to change in the event of a change in the Playoffs schedule. No submissions will be accepted by the Contest Sponsors for any reason after the Pick Deadlines as posted on the Picks Page have transpired. Participants may change their selections for a Round any time before the applicable Pick Deadline. Any picks received after the applicable Pick Deadline will be void. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of the Contest will be the Contest Website's server machine(s).

    8. Unofficial results (the "Unofficial Results") will be posted online on the Contest Website on or about each morning following the end of each Series. If no discrepancies have been received by the Contest Sponsors within seven (7) days after the Unofficial Results Date, it will be assumed that the standings are correct as posted, and the Unofficial Results will become official at that time.
    9. In the event that any Playoffs game or Series is postponed, cancelled, delayed, suspended, or otherwise not completed by 7:00 a.m. on the next day immediately following the originally scheduled end date for the game or series, then a notice will be posted on the Contest Website as soon as reasonably possible to indicate how points potentially accumulated by the participant in respect of that game or series will be treated.

The terms and conditions contained in this Section apply to any and all Contest prize(s) awarded pursuant to these Official Rules:

    1. Except with respect to any monetary prizes, no financial compensation will be made or required if actual prize value is lower than the total value quoted in these Official Rules.
    2. Prize must be accepted as awarded, without substitution, transfer, exchange or assignment, unless otherwise determined in the absolute discretion of the Contest Sponsors and/or prize supplier(s). Prize may not be exactly as advertised. Except as expressly warranted herein, prize is provided "as is" without further warranty of any kind.
    3. Any unused portion of the prize, once awarded, will be deemed forfeited by the applicable winner, and no financial compensation will be made or required in respect of such unused portion. Prize will not be replaced if lost, destroyed, mutilated or stolen.
    4. The Contest Sponsors and/or the prize supplier(s) reserve the right, in their absolute discretion, to cancel or substitute a prize or a component of a prize with a prize or a component of a prize (as applicable) of equal or greater value, including, without limitation, a monetary award, if the prize or prize component cannot be awarded by the Contest Sponsors and/or the prize supplier(s) for any reason.
    5. Once awarded, prize may not be resold or commercially traded in any manner, directly or indirectly, and Contest Sponsors reserve the right to ban or disqualify any entrant from any contest, including future contests, should it reasonably believe such entrant to have acted or attempted to act in contravention of the foregoing restriction.

  9. WINNER SELECTION / NOTIFICATION.

    1. The top three ranking participants according to points accumulated during the Overall Prize Period will be eligible to win one (1) Overall First Prize, one (1) Overall Second Prize, and one (1) Overall Third Prize respectively. In the event of a tie between participants, the participant with the best ranking score in Round 4 will be the potential winner.
    2. The top ten ranking participants according to points accumulated during each Round will be eligible to win one (1) Round First Prize and nine (9) Round Second to Tenth Prizes respectively. In the event of a tie in points between participants, the participants' answer to Tie-Breaker 1 will be used to break the tie to determine the eligible Round Prize Period winner(s); specifically, the participant with the answer closest to the actual total will be given a better rank. In the event Tie-Breaker 1 does not break the tie, Tie-Breaker 2 will be relied upon to break the tie to determine the eligible winner(s); In the event Tie-Breaker 2 does not break the tie, if applicable, Tie-Breaker 3 will be relied upon to break the tie to determine the eligible winner(s); again, the participant with the answer closest to the actual total will be given a better rank. If a tie still exists after the above tie-breakers have been invoked, each participant's time of entry of his/her final picks in the applicable Round will be used as a tie-breaker with earlier time of entry being better. In the event a participant has changed his/her picks for the applicable Round, the last set of picks will be used for the purposes of determining the participant's time of entry of his/her final picks.
    3. In the event any game or series is not completed due to the cancellation or suspension of the Playoff Season for any reason whatsoever, the applicable Round Prize Period prizes will be awarded for each Round that has been completed in its entirety. The Overall Prize Period prizes will be awarded if at least three Rounds are completed (for clarity, through Round 3). Prize winners will be determined based on the standings as of the last full Round Prize Period completed in the Playoff Season.
    4. Any one (1) participant may win only one (1) Round First Prize and one (1) Round Second to Tenth Prize. In the event the same participant qualifies for more than one (1) Round First Prize or one (1) Round Second to Tenth Prize, the participant will be deemed the potential winner of the first Round First Prize or Round Second to Tenth Prize for which the participant is eligible, and the subsequent Round First Prize or Round Second to Tenth Prize will be awarded to another participant pursuant to the applicable process set out in these Official Rules. For clarity, a participant is allowed to win any of the Overall Prizes in addition to a Round First Prize or Round Second to Tenth Prize.
    5. A potential winner will be disqualified and required to forfeit any claim to the Contest prize if he or she cannot be reached within ten (10) days following the first attempt of contact, which contact shall be made by means of telephone and/or email, or if the terms set forth in these Official Rules are not adhered to.
    6. Prizes will be distributed and delivered within sixty (60) days after each prize winner has been successfully contacted and notified of his/her prize, provided the winner has complied with these Official Rules.
    7. Decisions and rulings of the Contest Sponsors and/or their representatives are final and binding without appeal in all matters related to this Contest and the awarding of a prize.
    8. To be declared a winner, a potential winner must correctly answer without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question; be in full compliance with these Official Rules; and, in the discretion of the Contest Sponsors, sign and return a release of liability and consent to publicity form (the "Release Form") within the time period specified in the Release Form, and any other documentation as may reasonably be required by the Contest Sponsors in their absolute discretion.
    9. A potential winner may be required to provide proof of identification to the Contest Sponsors when claiming a prize or otherwise in connection with this Contest to facilitate the Contest Sponsors' accurate identification of a Contest winner.
    10. If a potential winner does not fulfill the conditions set out in these Official Rules, or declines or forfeits a Contest prize, the Contest Sponsors reserve the right, in their absolute discretion, to cancel the Contest prize or to select another entrant from the remaining eligible entries pursuant to the process described above.
